South Ribble Development Centre

Our Adult Blues team is our reserve team to our Purples, they play there games in the Lancashire Sunday League Division 2. They play their home games on Lancashire FA all weather pitch on a Sunday afternoon. This terrific venue ensures that all home games are guaranteed to be on due to the high standard of the all weather pitch and allows us to provide football to our adult teams nearly every weekend.
Our adults team play 11v11 with role on role off substitutions, this allows our adults teams to use all 15 match day squad players and give them plenty of game time. They currently have 33 players signed on. Both adult men’s teams train together on a Tuesday night which means that when players from the Blues are ready to step up and play at a higher level they are used to the style of play of the Purples and already have a good relationship with the players ensuring that the teams continue to be as successful as possible. It also provides the opportunity for players from the Purples to remain part of their team at training while playing with the Blues as they come back from injury.
There is a great bond between both adult teams and they have end of season do’s and nights out together and after every game they return to the Indigo Pub in Leyland for a drink and to reflect on that days game.
They currently train on a Tuesday night at Leyland St. Marys High School all weather pitch at 20:00-21:00 and play their home games at Lancashire FA County Ground on a Sunday afternoon.
