U7 Purples

              The first of our youngest teams are the Purples who represent our club in the Mid Lancashire Colts Junior Football League in the Blue division. They play their games at Central Venue in Penwortham on grass and the Withy Grove venue in Bamber Bridge on astro turf. At this age there are no results submitted and no league tables as it is about building their confidence and skill levels and their love for the game. The league tracks the results of the games so that they can organise the fixtures and leagues so that the games are competitive, and teams are matched with others of similar ability.

               Our Under 7 Purples first started training together late 2022 as an Under 6 Development squad and are now enjoying their first taste of league football. They are fantastic group of children who have developed their football and social skills while with us. The sessions are designed to be fun so that the children can grow to love this game and so that coming to training and games is the best couple of hours of their week.

​

               When the children joined they had limited experience in football and so the coaches have been working with them to develop the fundamentals and a knowledge of the game and they are progressing fantastically. We are blessed to have amazing parents who regularly help us fundraise and support the kids and we have 4 amazing coaches which allows us to spend more time in smaller groups so that the children get more opportunity on the ball and individual coaching.

               They currently train on a Thursday night at 6:30-7:30 and play their games at either 09:30, 10:30 or 11:30 0n a Saturday morning.
