Meet The Committee

Founder & FA Advisor
Darren Rhodes
Darren worked for the LFA for a number of years helping new teams establish themselves in Lancashire and one day in 2019 decided that he would create his own club giving us SRDC. His knowledge of youth football is invaluable and he is our fountain of knowledge on all football.

Chairman
Mark Marrinan
Mark was appointed Chairman of the club last year and has done a fantastic job steering the ship. He has the overall say on all decisions and is running our clubs social media presence. He is also the manager of our U12 side who play their games in the Central Lancashire Sunday League.

Club Secretary
Rebecca Wilson
Rebecca is the beating heart of this team, a lot of the work she does for us goes unnoticed but if it wasn't for her we would struggle to run. She deals with all the correspondents, accreditation, affiliation and insurance issues as well as supporting her U14 side. She is the first point of contact for new members to the club and helps increase the membership of our club. She arranges our meetings and takes notes in these meetings, she is the organiser of SRDC.

Club Welfare Officer
Stacey Duxbury
Stacey is our Club Welfare Officer & plays a key role in ensuring that the club members have a safe and positive experience at their club. She is key to all members knowing what to do and who to speak to if they have a safeguarding or discipline or conduct concern. She is also key to managing club issues and disputes, and flagging concerns for early intervention to prevent escalation and behaviours which prevent enjoyment of the sport.

Health & Safety Officer
Susanne Lynas
Susanne role is to assist the club to put in place policies and implementation plans for health and safety issues, She is the first point of contact for club members with any issue concerning health and safety She ensures all accidents are correctly reported in accordance & that safe systems of work are employed by maintaining up-to-date risk assessments. She is our safety net and plays a vital part in ensuring that all club members can enjoy themselves in a safe environment.

Club Treasurer
Jody Ashmore
Jody is responsible for the managing the flow of money into the club and for allocating and recording how that money is spent to run the club. This is a vital role in a club as the treasurer works to ensure the club is able to meet its day-to-day expenses.
The treasurer also works in planning the development of the club e.g. creating annual budgets, estimating funds required for a capital projects and projecting membership and income for future years to contribute towards prudent planning of the club’s future.

Player Registration and Pitch Bookings
Kieran McKay
Kieran coaches our U9 Blue team but also is responsible for registering all new players to the club and assigning them to the relevant team. He has also taken on pitch bookings for all teams within the club. If you need a pitch, if nobody can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire, Kieran McKay to book you a pitch.

Education Officer
David McCarty
Dave is responsible for ensuring that all our coaches are fully qualified and that they continue to professionally develop themselves. He ensures that the coaches have their Safeguarding courses, First Aid and Football qualifications. The club encourage our coaches development and pay for their courses. Dave also coaches our U7 Purples and our U9 Golds as well.

U7 Team Secretary
Abbey Cookson
Abbey is our first point of contact for all our U7 sides, she deals with booking venues, updating membership fees, arranging events for the teams and being another contact source for the players and parents. She is a massive help to the coaches and allows the coaches to focus on their main role.
